Addendum to Threats on Social Security and Medicare

I am here again with an addendum to my first hub on Threats to our Social Security and Medicare. I have been asked by my readers to redirect this and get more specific in my article. So you ask me why I put up a picture of medicine bottles, and I say because without those medicines my husband would not be alive today. It does not end with those pill bottles, because there are times when we must have shots of Lovenox and that cost about a hundred dollars per shot. IF you have to be on a it for like 10 days at two per day to keep your blood thinned enough not to throw a clot, then you are talking about $2,000. per treatment. Low and behold this prescription drug thing does not get better, but a month ago we looked at our medical prescription drug bill at the pharmacy and it was 10 times what we normally pay. They said oh by the way you are now in a $3,000 dollar gap. It gets better because, when we finish that gap, then we can look forward to the next step up gap for another $4,000. How are we suppose to live on no increases to the cost of living, and yet every thing is going up higher. Then you talk about not sending out checks on August 3rd., because it is Social Security and Medicare that caused our financial crisis. Excuse me..................................wake up and smell the coffee. Someone is not being truthful here. We listen to the lies everyday about this situation, and all they can do is put us at fault for getting social security, and yet they admit they appropriated the funds elsewhere. The pills you see it is what keeps my husband alive. He has chronic medical issues, and it started with a brain tumor that was benign and not malignant, but it might as well have been for all the cost it has put on us as a family. I am thankful it was not malignant, because I still have the man I married and the father of my children in my life today. We were both educators and worked our lives devoted to helping kids and only have our social security to show for it. That is a long story on my financial crisis but I won't make that the center of this article. Now let me get into what I know and what everyone is asking.

I address this to all the presidents, congress, and representatives and yes I did say representatives. What does that mean? That means you are there to represent your people and not your blooming selves. I am sorry for the tone of my voice in this message, but when all around me everywhere says this, then I am shocked. No more do they feel like we are America that we were so proud of and gave our life for throughout the years. You shame me with your dirty little engagements of cheating on your wives and scandals behind our back. Do you think that is our values. Do you think the people want you to be representing us that way?I had someone ask me can we impeach our Senators. I said I do not know that one, but I will find out. I am not saying all our elected officials have not done good. There are some out there who think as we do, and who are also appalled but your voices are being silenced by corruption around you. I come from a family who committed their lives to this country in service, and I am not talking about one person but many who served it well. People it is not about being a Republican or a Democrat or some other party. It is about being an American. I am proud of who I am that makes me an American, because I am Irish, Dutch, Scottish, English, German, Swiss, Spanish, and also part Native American. Most of all I call myself an American! What does that mean now?..................................................

Then let me look at all the things done behind our spending in this country. Whoops, let me rephrase this. It is not our spending, but government spending on all the things the Americans do not know about. Take all the deals with foreign countries you made and did not tell your people, then those same things like weapons and all were turned on this country and others, when they never should have been.

Why did you let doctors implant things in people not approved by the FDA, and then no one will touch them, when they go bad. All the doctors can say is that is a liability waiting to happen so we cannot help you because the FDA did not approve it. Yet doctors are pushing it behind our backs for money on pay backs to those same doctors to push it. Surprise, surprise,....... people that just happened and brought up in the Supreme Court about those payments. I may seem like I am touching on a bunch of bases here.

American government needs to cough up the truth. You are losing your people. I am not sure what we are evolving to, but it is not pride in America. America we don't know you. If you look at the faces of your sick, your homeless, your starving, and your low income people and all people, then you better be accountable for what you have done. I am writing all Americans to take a stand and question the behavior of your congressman, your president, and your government officials. American Government you took God out of your country!!!!!!!!! You took the values of responsibility and became sordid and nasty. You put doom over our poor citizens who worked all their lives to have peace one day and retire for the few years they have left. You threaten our Social Security and our Medicare. I say write your congressmen, call your news people and rant. Write your newspapers and blog yourself. Let your voice call out in the night until no one sleeps on these lies anymore. I want our country to account for every dollar they spend in our name. It is my country, it is your country, and it is the country of all those immigrants that came here and lived or died upon your shores, and it is the country of every soldier that fought under your stars and stripes. Please I ask you as an American make our government responsible for their actions. They do not represent the people! They get elected and take the money, and more money,.and more money and never look back at those who elected them. I was raised to respect this country, and I want my country to care about me and my friends, my family, and God knows my whole country of brothers and sisters under the American flag.
